We loved this place! Alberto, the caretaker, was fun and gracious. He very kindly picked us up at the ferry even though it was an hour and a half late. And he brought us to the local market so we could pick up some essentials. We got to the house late at night and as we rounded the last turn and the house came into view my daughter and her friends squealed with delight, the house on the hill looked exactly like the picture, and was such a welcome refuge after a long day traveling. Isabel Segundo is a short drive away. The supermercado also a short drive. Take the backroads for a shortcut to the wildlife refuge. And the views at the top of the hill are amazing! The kitchen was spacious and nicely laid out. Easy for the teens to make snacks and clean up after. The screened porch was fabulous, I enjoyed my morning coffee looking out at the wandering horses, and in the evening listening to the song of the coqui frogs. We did hear roosters crowing a few times, but they seemed distant, thankfully. The teenagers loved flopping down on the couches, the big bathrooms and showers, and most important, the wifi. We had the fortune to thank Khang in person for sharing her wonderful home with us when we ran into her at the ferry as we leaving Vieques. She was so sweet and warm. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a comfortable, laid-back family getaway.
